Mangum to offer Farmers Market beginning June 14 (Altus Times)

The Main Street/Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Farmers Market in nearby Mangum beginning June 14.

Greer County cornerstone ceremony to be held June 27 (Altus Times)

Time capsule to be opened at 11 a.m. event MANGUM ? The current Greer County Courthouse was completed in 1906 at the cost of $125,000. It was built by L. F. Lee and O. F. Campbell from Oklahoma City. The plans were prepared by S. A. Layton from El Reno. The bond election to build the courthouse failed in 1903 because there were questions about the division of the county.

Book about quilter Martha Skelton to be signed tonight (The Vicksburg Post)

A book-signing and reception for a Vicksburg quilter is set for 4 until 6:30 tonight at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. Mary Elizabeth Johnson, author of "Martha Skelton: Master Quilter of Mississippi," will sign books at SCHC auditorium.
