Lawsuit filed in opposition to government regulation of cockfighting (KSWO Lawton-Wichita Falls)

A man convicted last year of cockfighting in Oklahoma has filed a federal lawsuit challenging the government's right to regulate the blood sport on tribal land.  Michael Turner of Lawton filed the lawsuit as a member and on behalf of the Kiowa tribe of Oklahoma.  But tribal officials say Turner doesn't represent the tribe.

Part of the Turner Turnpike east of Oklahoma City was shut down Friday afternoon due to a four-car wreck, troopers say.
