Checotah fills boys basketball head position (Muskogee Phoenix)

Checotah High School?s boys basketball position has been filled with a longtime Wagoner boys assistant coach. Anthony Porter, who resides in Muskogee, was hired Wednesday to replace Shedrick Jones, who ironically will replace the man who Porter served under at Wagoner, Joe Gordon.

Checotah had barrels of fun (Muskogee Phoenix)

He had been razor-close the previous year with both his boys and girls teams at Checotah High School, losing in the championship finals with both.
